A new year

Well 2011 came and went like a gust of wind. I can’t say it was my favorite year, in fact a very hard one. Thank you everyone for your support this last year. So what does 2012 hold in store for Lougheed. Well all I can say is lots of new music and maybe a new wrinkle or two. A cd is in the works and hoping a mid summer release party. So happy new year everybody and hope to play a ton of music with everyone.

Cheers,Mark

As we head into fall, my favorite time. I am ready to expand on some new music and try to record a cd. Our summer was crazy went by at a supersonic pace. Pam and I will be gigging this fall. With venues to be named shortly. I received my Warren Ellis electric tenor on Tuesday and this thing is a hotrod. Sounds amazing and ready to rock it up. Hope to see everybody soon! Cheers, Mark

Lyrics and new songs

Everybody who knows me, sees how hard lyrics are for me. I have all-ways had a hard time with words. Not that I don’t have something to say. So with the Colorado Irish Fest on the horizon and trying to add new songs to the set list, I am working my tushy off. Pam can run through a new song a few times and have it down. With that said we are really excited to be back at the Fest this year and hope to see all our old friends and make new ones as well. Come out to Clancy’s Irish pub on Tuesday night from 7-10pm and join us for a great Irish session. Cheers, Mark.

Colorado Irish Fest

Two years have passed since I’ve had the pleasure of performing at the Festival. It is with great pride and excitement that Pam and I have come together to form Lougheed. We are gearing up to have the best performance and hope everybody will stop by. The Fest has always been a time to see old friends and make new ones. This, I truly hope will be the case.        Cheers,  Mark
